Timothy B. Eisman is the founder and Artistic Director of the Rhythm&Hum Ensemble. A lifelong Lutheran, Tim began singing and playing in church at an early age, and continued to be very much involved in the arts while attending Martin Luther High School in Greendale, Wis. In 1999, Tim recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Chicago with a double major in Music and Theology and a minor in Communications and Theatre. From there he relocated to Nashville, TN for a short time to explore the music scene before returning to Concordia to serve as Music Director for the Artists of Concordia Theatre, as well as Director of the Résonanz Ensemble - a cutting edge contemporary music ministry team which lead worship on a regular basis for daily chapel and other special campus events. In 2009 Tim began a two-year graduate degree program at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and recieved a Master of Music degree in Composition and Theory with a Stage Music Emphasis in May 2011. Currently residing in Milwaukee, Wis., Tim now serves as an Associate Music Director at Hales Corners Lutheran Church, and frequently freelances as Music Director for both university level and community theatrical productions. Major instruments include percussion, piano, guitar, mandolin and voice.
Andrew Schempf's first love was the guitar, an instrument that he has pursued diligently for the past 16 years. He is also an accomplished pianist, having studied piano in college with both jazz and classical piano instructors. He earned his Bachelor's in Music Education in 2007 from Concordia University Chicago and has since worked at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School directing music groups and teaching classes. Linda Schempf is a classically trained violinist who began studying violin at age seven through the Jackson Symphony Orchestra Community Music School. She has continued to pursue music throughout her college career expanding her repertoire to include several types of fiddling styles as well as a wide variety of classical music. In 2008 she was awarded as a winner of the Concordia University Chicago Concerto Competition for her performance of Antonio Vivaldi's Violin Concerto in G minor, "Summer." http://schempfmusic.weebly.com/
Nathan Ewald is an accomplished singer, banjo player and guitarist from west suburban Chicago, Ill. He is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago, and was a principal member of the Résonanz Ensemble during his time there.
Jenna Young has been dancing at Young Dance Academy since before she was born and spent the majority of her school years at the studio intensively studying ballet, pointe, jazz and tap. She was a teacher at Young Dance for four years before graduating from Martin Luther High School in 2007. After graduating, Jenna spent five years touring, teaching and performing through the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom and Japan with the performance group, The Young Americans. In addition to performing and teaching, she filled the rolls of casting director, staging director and company manager. Jenna's choreography was featured in Goodwill's Retro Rendevous Fundraiser in October 2012. Her dances have won many awards including the 2013 Mini Critics Choice awards at the New York City Dance Alliance competitions in both Lansing, Mich., and Chicago, Ill. She has been back in Wisconsin teaching since 2011. Jenna is extremely excited to be involved with Rhythm&Hum at Hales Corners Lutheran Church.
